If you are looking for an honest look at the insurance industry for health and life we will give you the good the bad and the ugly up front. We are looking for a competitive person or existing insurance agent to generate new business by contacting potential customers. You will sell, solicit, differentiate and negotiate insurance plans that match the needs of your assigned or prospective customers’ portfolio. The goal is to build up strong positive relationships, to ensure growth attainment and increase our firm’s reputation.
Responsibilities
Develop marketing strategies and promote all types of new insurance contracts or suggest additions/changes to existing ones
Breed productive relationships to create a pool of prospective clients from various sources by networking, cold calling, using referrals, leads, etc
Evaluate business or individual customers’ needs and financial status and propose protection plans that meet their criteria
Work with clients to deliver risk management strategies that fit their risk profiles
Report the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to team leaders.
Maintain bookkeeping systems, database and records
Monitor insurance claims to ensure mutual satisfaction
Achieve customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives
Constantly update job knowledge and learn about new products and services
Fulfill all policy requirements

NEW AGENT ONBOARDING TASKLIST
Phase 1 Pre-Licensing
Pre-Licensing
You must complete 20-40 Hours of prelicensing coursework in order to be eligible to sit down for the applicable insurance license.
License Test/FingerPrinting
You must pass your test in order to become an agent and be ready to write business. Continued employment is contingent upon this.
Depending on the circumstances you may be required to obtain fingerprinting for the State of your employment Office of Insurance.
Errors and Omission Insurance
Every Agent must obtain an E & O Insurance Policy in order to become a writing agent. Our office can provide you discounted pricing. Speak with your team leader regarding this.
Phase 2 Licensed - Contracting
Complete the Contracting Documents Sent to you by the Insurance Companies
Finalize Any Onboarding Documents Missing
Begin attending training sessions.
Phase 3 Certification
Must Complete AHIP and FFM Certifications
Complete Individual Carriers Certifications
Phase 4 Can Sale
